The site is located at the end of a private road adjacent to a primary school and was previously occupied by school buildings. The site is long and narrow with a substantial cross fall and a large number of trees subject to a tree preservation order. To achieve an appropriate density a new road was taken into the site serving three terraces of four houses each. The road and parking were designed around the existing trees to enhance the character of the site
